Beginning Beekeeping Classes

The Colonial Beekeepers Association will present a five day course for Beginning Beekeepers. The course will be held on four consecutive Thursdays, March 28 and April 4, 11, and 18 with a Field Day Saturday, April 20, 2013.  Classes will be held at the Northampton Community Center in Hampton, Virginia. The Saturday Field Day will be held in a local bee yard. The course consists of lectures and hands-on demonstrations with an emphasis on sustainable, chemical-free practices.

This course fulfills the educational requirement in introductory beekeeping training for the qualified level of the Virginia Master Beekeeper Program.
