Course for Beginning Beekeepers

The Colonial Beekeepers Association will present a five day course for Beginning Beekeepers. The course will be held on four consecutive Thursdays, March 15, 22, 29 and April 5, with a Field Day Saturday, April 7, 2012.  Classes will be held at the Northampton Community Center in Hampton, Virginia. The Saturday Field Day will be held in a local bee yard. The course consists of lectures and hands-on demonstrations with an emphasis on sustainable, chemical-free practices.

Successful completion of this course provides eight (8) hours of classroom instruction in introductory beekeeping training for participation in the Virginia Master Beekeeper Program.
