ONLINE REGISTRATION OPENS APRIL 1st, 2023


  • Workshops for all levels of beekeepers from beginners to experienced will be offered in conjunction with our main speaker events. Workshop registration is limited and we encourage early registration if you plan on attending any of the following workshops:


  • Honey Bee Microscopy with Dr. James Wilson
  • Honey Show Preparation with EAS Master Beekeeper Karla Eisen & Bob Wellemeyer
  • In the Apiary a Hands on Experience with Master Beekeepers Brooke Savage & Kristine Smith
  • Pollinator Meadows Tour & Discussion Led by Sweet Briar College

MASTER BEEKEEPER PROGRAM EXAMS

The Master Beekeeper Program will host the written exams for Apprentice, Journeyman and Master Beekeeper as well as offer practical hive inspection testing for Apprentice and Journeyman students who have successfully passed their written exam during the 2023 Membership meeting at Sweet Briar College June 10-11, 2023.

Master Beekeeper lab training/testing will be held both Saturday and Sunday for all students registered for the Master Beekeeper exam only.

All students, please preregister for the Master Beekeeper Program testing during your conference registration which opens with early registration in April 2023. Walk-up registrations  are not accepted during the conference.

  • All Master beekeeper candidates must pre-register to take the exams.
  • All exams will be at a scheduled time block for each student.

Retakes for the exam need to contact us at admin@virginiabeekeepers.org to be scheduled.


We will have limited apiary sessions for on-site practical's during the conference
